Youth poets are writers aged 19 years and younger. These poets have qualified to compete in previous slams, and will duke it out on stage for a chance to get on the team. There will be a stellar showcase of local poetic and musical talent, and then on to the main event! Don't miss it!

Accessibility Statement:
The Providence Poetry Slam takes place at AS220 MainStage (95 Empire Street, Providence). There is an accessible entrance and the space is wheelchair accessible. The stage is not wheelchair accessible, as there are four unavoidable stairs leading up to the stage. There is a wheelchair accessible mic in front of the stage at all of our events. There is a gender neutral and wheelchair accessible bathroom available. We ask that all performers use the microphone during all aspects of their performance. We keep some of the house lights on during all aspects of the show for the safety of our performers and audience. This is not a fragrance free space.
