Join us on Thursday October 19 at AS220's main stage for an open mic and open poetry slam! Poets in the poetry slam compete for a chance to qualify to be on our 2024 poetry slam team! The slam is all-ages: if you're a youth poet you automatically qualify for future youth competitions just by signing up. Adult slammers: top 2 advance to further rounds for our adult team!

The open mic is open to all artists, all ages, and all genres. Bring your spooky stories, songs, poems, prose, enchantments, mad ravings and more! You'll have 4-5 minutes max: think one long poem or song, or two short poems. Please be considerate of time!

The poetry slam is open to poets of all ages. Please have at least 2 poems prepared. Poems should be at or under 3 minutes in length.

Doors open and sign-up sheets are posted at 7pm.

Admission is $5 suggested donation, or pay what you can. No one is turned away!
