Join us on Thursday February 2 for an open mic, featuring Astrid Drew!

The stage is yours for your stories, poems, songs, rants and ravings! Readers and performers will have 4 minutes on the mic, which usually means one song, two short poems or one long poem. To make sure you get a spot on the list, please show up on time! Doors open and sign-up lists are posted at 7pm. Show starts around 7:30pm.

You may recognize our feature as ProvSlam staff who greets you at the door or occasionally shows up in poetry slams. Astrid Drew is a writer and archivist based in Providence, Rhode Island. She has been part of the staff of the Providence Poetry Slam for many years, and was a member of the 2014 Providence Slam team. She believes that poetry can be something powerful.
