Join us on Thursday June 15 for an open mic and the People’s Choice Slam! This should be a fun night. Here’s the plan: when you come in at the door, you’ll have the option to write down a poem form, prompt, or theme on a flashcard. Flashcards will be randomly drawn at the start of the show, and poets who signed up for the slam will have to write a poem based on those themes right there at AS220. They’ll perform those poems in the slam after the open mic. The winner will get our customary cash prize, but we’ll have goodies for all competitors. This is about having fun and celebrating poetry and spoken word! See you soon!

Doors open and sign-up sheets posted at 7pm. Show starts around 7:30pm/8pm.

Admission is $5 donation or pay what you can. No one is turned away <3
